Amidst waning viewership and increased physicality, the NBA is taking a page out of the NHL’s book by adding penalty boxes and player altercations. This shocking policy will allow players to drop their gloves or basketball shorts and tee off on each other to settle differences. Instead of free throws, offenders will spend 2 minutes in the penalty box, forcing their team to play four-on-five. Time will tell if this move will pay off, but I, for one, will be watching closely.
