The NBA medical staff revealed Monday an outbreak of asthma in referees. “We believe the outbreak is caused by an increase in whistle-blowing. The excessive foul calls take an insurmountable toll on our referees,” a league source said. The NBA will respond by issuing inhalers to some of the worst cases.
