Amidst waning TV ratings, the NBA is looking to spice rivalries by allowing players to cut 5-minute, WWE-style promos before their matchups. This was seen for the first time when Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat cut a microphone promo to Celtics fans, saying, “Let me tell you something, Celtics! That precious river isn’t dyed green for St. Patrick’s Day. It’s polluted green by the smut all you disgusting people spew from your fat alcoholic mouths every day! And, come Monday night, you all will learn what happens when you mess with the But Man!” I, for one, am in full support of this iconic move.
